Make the Girl Dance Performs at Malmaison @ Malmaison
Mar 24 @ 3:00 AM – 4:00 AM
Make the Girl Dance Performs at Malmaison @ Malmaison | Washington | District of Columbia | United States

Make the Girl Dance performs March 23 at 11pm at Georgetown’s Malmaison to take audiences on a wild night ride by way of Parisian electronic music.

MTGD is perhaps the most prominent name in French electro to have made it across the Atlantic, thanks to the duo’s risqué, in-your-face videos and catchy dance tunes. The twisted minds behind the music are Greg Kozo and Pierre Mathieu, two self-defined “aliens” of electro music. Mathieu’s background in television combined with Kozo’s music experience has led them to create such music/video hits as “Baby Baby Baby” and “Kill Me.”

MTGD launched their latest musical experience in 2012 with a worldwide tour (Europe, Korea, Japan, USA) following their first full length album, Everything Is Gonna Be Ok In The End.

Event is Part of Mix Elektronik
A journey through the world of electronic music through the lenses of education and entertainment for an all-inclusive experience. Featuring a series of events including an original scratch conference, mixing workshops, a documentary screening, and DJ sets from French label Prolifik Records and the unforgettable Make the Girl Dance.

Fashionably LOUD @ Ibiza Nightclub
Mar 24 @ 10:00 PM – Mar 25 @ 3:00 AM

On March 24th it will be proven again that fashion lives in the Nation’s Capital! In 2007, Anwaa Kong had a fashion show that fused music & fashion together and this year he decided to do a revival and collaborate with Harley Morgan, owner of ROE The Agency. These two gentlemen have created a show that will be talked about for some years to come, featuring unforgettable fashions for Spring/Summer 2013 by the area’s top designers and showcasing over 50 models!

The “Fashionably LOUD” Fashion Show will be Hosted by Autumn Joi, with sounds provided by DJ MIM.  LIVE performances will be provided by: Epic Recording Artist Marcus CantyKingpen SlimDunsonBoobePhil Da PhutureJayne Kennedi & Devin White. As an added element, there will also be vending by various businesses, such as health & wellness, food, jewelry, clothing + more! “Fashionably LOUD” is also pleased to announce that Sandra Woodley, one of the final twelve selected models for the new Hit series “The Face”, currently in rotation on the Oxygen network will be in attendance. Sandra is a well-rounded professional model; as a member of #TeamNaomi, she was exclusively trained by Legendary Supermodel Naomi Campbell, worked on campaigns with Urban Outfitters, Christian Louboutin, Tony Burch, LK Bennett and landed two spots on the hit television show “Project Runway”.

When asked about why reviving the fashion show for music and fashion in the Nation’s Capital, Anwaa Kong states “I feel like DC’s music and fashion scene needed this show. I did the same show in 2007, I had Wale, Tabi Bonney and UCB perform and the rest is history. So hopefully, in a few years we can say the same about some of the artists in show. DC has always been a uniquely hot fashion city, Kanye got his style from here. All the other rappers are dressing like Wale.” Harley Morgan states “Our fashion show, Fashionably LOUD, is going to be a movement! This event is unprecedented and needed to reenergize our fashion, music and performance scenes…It’s gonna be HAUTE!!

The “Fashionably LOUD” Fashion Show will take place Sunday, March 24th from 6-11 PM at IBIZA Nightclub in Washington, DC. Doors will open at 6PM. To attend the fashion show, you can purchase tickets by visiting this link: www.fashionablyloud.org.
