Whether you’re with your sweetie or single, SpeakeasyDC’s 6th annual Sucker for Love storytelling show is a unique and unforgettable way to spend Valentine’s Day — listening to heartfelt and hilarious true stories about loves found, lost, and imagined.  As always, SpeakeasyDC promises storytelling at its best with a cast of new and veteran storytellers, including Dan Coyle telling about what it’s like to date after thirty years of marriage; Mikael Johnson shedding light on what to do when your new girlfriend has a teenage daughter; and Cindy and Mike Kane sharing two vastly different perspectives on the same courtship. The show also featuring, Elizabeth McCain, Elissa Laura, Mike Baireuther, and Callie Wright, with host and director Stephanie Garibaldi.

Laissez les bons temps rouler! For the first time ever, LivingSocial and Events DC are partnering to create a Mardi Gras soirée featuring Big Easy-style food and fun – right here in the District at the historic Carnegie Library

Union Market, the highly acclaimed food market redeveloped by EDENS, one of the nation’s leading retail real estate owners and developers, will host a Cocktail Seminar “To Have and Have Another – A Hemingway Cocktail Companion” with member of The Museum of the American Cocktail and author of the newly released book of the same name, Philip Greene.

Explore the drinks that Hemingway enjoyed, spiced with biographical tidbits, anecdotes, history of the drinks and the bars, and other folklore. Samples of Hemingway’s legendary cocktails will be served along with delicious appetizers.  Mixologist and Buffalo & Bergen owner, Gina Chersevani will be mixing cocktails for the event.
