Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. What is an Easter Egg?

Everyone knows that easter eggs are those brightly colored eggs that children search for on Easter morning, but those aren’t the only easter eggs you could have looked for this holiday.

Did you know that Easter Eggs could also be inside jokes, special treats and programming surprises?

The alternate meaning of easter egg is a hidden gem that no one knows about: messages, graphics, images, videos, games or bonuses that were made purely for fun or entertainment. Like the bonus track at the end of your favorite CD – or that message you see when you see on your computer when you hit the right buttons, usually on accident!
