The Naked Truth

A number of DC outlets have reported on PETA‘s sexy – and skin friendly – “Naked Ambition” campaign currently on “view” in Georgetown at an annex of the Govinda Gallery. We were so interested that we tried to go by… four times.

The website claimed that the exhibit, a compilation of 20 years of PETA’s “I’d Rather Go Naked” campaign, would run December 19th – January 9th. We’ll admit that the first attempt was on a Sunday, but the next three weekday try-bys were equally as unsuccessful. And a pop in questioning of the concierge next door confirms that dozens of passersby have complained about the unexplained closure. (Govinda, by phone and website, confirmed open gallery times Tues – Sat, 11 – 6.)

We’d like to tell you to visit the space for some racy pics of a real issue, but the naked truth is… it’s never open. (And the images are only centerfold size anyway.) Save time and avoid freezing temps by just checking out the slideshow below. *Complete exhibit not shown.
