Kate Michael

Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

The Big Hunt

The hunt starts Monday. Ten days of hints and 20 clues given out by CityShopGirl and Skincando will have you canvasing the city in a scavenger hunt.. of shopping? Though we’re not sure of the nature of the clues, we do know you’ll be exploring the city, our favorite pasttime!

To get your hints. register yourself or your team (up to 4) here. Daily items in CityShopGirl’s e-mail publication and through the twitter handles of @cityshopgirl and @skincando will provide hints at the location of items across the city. Collection of these items/clues can lead to a grand prize worth over $2500!

To claim your prize (since I know you know enough about DC as a reader of K Street Kate!) you must be present at Lotus Lounge on the evening of Saturday, October 17th, with clues in hand. More info here. Good luck!
