Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

More than 50,000 people will all gather on the National Mall in Washington D.C. on June 6 to take a stand in the global movement to end breast cancer forever. Each year, up to 75 percent of the Komen Global Race’s net income stays in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to fund local screening, treatment and education programs for the medically underserved. The remaining dollars support the Global Promise Fund, a program of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, which is dedicated to reaching underserved people in areas where breast cancer mortality rates are the highest.

This year, I joined the Board of the Global Komen race for the Cure, and will be walking here locally with Team Madison. I’ve committed to raise a measly $125. Help me beat that! With your help, there’s no limit on how much we can raise and the impact we can make.

Why should you help?? More importantly, why shouldn’t you? Without a cure, an estimated 25 million people around the world will be diagnosed with breast cancer – and 10 million could die – over the next 25 years. This is our opportunity to do something about it! I know you’ve heard this before, but together, we can 🙂

Let’s get started today. To register, go to http://www.globalraceforthecure.org/. You can join me and Team Madison! Or, if you are unable to walk or run with us on the Mall on Race Day, please consider registering to Sleep In for the Cure. OR simply show your support by making a tax-deductible donation to my personal fundraising page.

No matter how you get involved, the important thing is that you are joining us in the global movement to end breast cancer. Thanks for making that impact.
