Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

Michael Saylor outdoes himself every time.

Rockers, Back-Ups, Groupies, and Stage Hands (and all of us crazies who dressed up as such wishing we could party like a Rockstar) swarmed the Ritz for a Battle of the Bands face off between Dewey Beach favorites Burnt Sienna and Mr. Greengenes.

Everyone knows Mr. Greengenes is Saylor’s favorite – so the voting was biased. Or maybe it’s because the guy/girl ratio was about 5:1 and Mr. G’s lead singer took his shirt off. Who knows!?

I should have voted for the host’s fav, too, but I didn’t. Burnt Sienna not only had stickers – they invited me and the girls on stage for a little ‘Addicted to Love’ choreography.

If you don’t recognize the awesomeness of our costume – well, then you are truly not a child of the 80’s – and you just don’t know how ‘Simply Irresistable’ Marybeth Coleman, Danielle Kambic, Anne Lee, Elle Collver and I really can be.
