Not Just Julia’s Anymore

Owner Federico Garcia Lopez has created some fresh competition for DC’s most popular late night snack. 


Friday he opened his new Panas, offering empanadas FREE for two hours during the lunchtime rush.  Recipients of the “gourmet” grand opening gesture compared the meaty treats to others they *may* have enjoyed as a late-night nosh.  “Even tastier than I remember these being,” said one customer.


For just $2 each, Panas will offer carry-out and delivery of their crescent-shaped creations full of meat, pork, chicken and ham.  Salads with a Latin flair are also foremost on the menu.
