We don’t want you to be a Valentine’s Victim. So if you still haven’t taken advantage of our earlier suggestions and made some lovely plans, we’ve got you covered – maybe even chocolate covered!
- Back by popular demand, couples are invited this Valentine’s Day weekend to visit the National Museum of Crime & Punishment and experience “Crimes of Passion.” Enter the exhibits and you’ll have on-staff wardens handcuffing you to your honey for a tour of the regular rogueishness and a lot more! Special exhibit boards explain various crimes of passion – many of which took place in the D.C. area – delighting couples in their dark side. $30 per couple.
- Because there’s something to be said for ridin’ solo, Bar 7 is hosting a Singles in the City evening on February 14th. It’s an evening escape with intimate lighting, live music, conversation starters, a free chocolate fountain…and the chance to meet someone who makes you melt. $10 admission.
- Want to get wild?! Smithsonian’s National Zoological Park’s third annual Woo at the Zoo on Friday, Feb. 11 is an extraordinary evening – for both singles and sweethearts – to learn about animal mating, dating, reproductive habits and other Jungle Love. There are also eats, treats, cocktails and “Cookie Grams.” Tickets $15 for FONZ members, $25 for nonmembers.
- And here’s the most intimate invite: Hudson Restaurant & Lounge still has a few reservations for its Valentine’s Day Three and Four Course lovefest offerings. This all aphrodisiac menu should be paired with Hudson’s special 20% off champagnes that evening… as if that were the only thing coming off!!
