Jihad Over Lunch w/ Author Erick Stakelbeck

“Thanks for coming to hear a little bit about jihad on your lunchbreak, said Erick Stakelbeck, author of “The Terrorist Next Door” as he launched an intimate book and author series at Rivers Restaurant Thursday afternoon.

Currently making the rounds of the televised media with his timely tome – which released on the day following Bin Laden’s death – Stakelbeck stopped in for a personal appearance in the Watergate building with area business and law leaders.

“I’ve been in the mosques… the Islamic enclaves… I’ve interviewed terrorists face to face.  This info is from their own mouths… I hope it won’t ruin your lunch,” he quipped as he took questions from the audience and explained his ‘Chip Away Strategy’ theory, in which future “small scale attacks with great frequency will chip away at the U.S. economy and psyche.”

“Well, you haven’t ruined my lunch,” said a member of the audience.  “But you’ve certainly kept me from sleeping at night!”
