Carrying a bill with Andrew Jackson’s face just may not cut it anymore. 

Here’s what you need to know: The DC Taxicab Commission plans to remove the $19 limit on inner-city cab fares later this week, meaning the meter continues throughout your ride, nomatter the length.  While this doesn’t include surcharges for bags, etc., this does mean that your ride within the District could add up to more than expected.  So, plan accordingly, and as the Commission continues to recommend new rules… be prepared to pay.
