Frisky Fun: Naked at the Art Museum

Love is in the air and art is on the walls… and both could include a little nudity this Valentine’s Day!

Whether it’s a first Valentines Day with a special someone – or you are searching to give romance a little randomness for a more permanent partner  – Watson Adventures, organizer of witty scavenger hunts nationwide, is offering a weekend-long series of Naked at the Art Museum Scavenger Hunts for couples looking to kick Cupid’s Day up a notch this year.

“Surprises always make a date more fun,” said Bret Watson, the brains behind Watson Adventures. “You can go to dinner any night of the year, so don’t battle the crowd or vye for weekend reservations… Our Naked Hunts are perfect for people who have done the typical thing and want a more creative and adventurous outing for Valentine’s Day.”

The hunts, available at either the National Gallery (2/11 and 2/12, 2- 4:30 PM) or the American Art Museum (2/11 and 2/12, 1 – 3:30 and 4- 6:30 PM) offer tricky questions all involving nudity (in some way) on whirlwind tours of the museum. It’s a way to culturally connect while keeping things light.  No knowledge of art, or nudity, is required. (Price: $24.50 per person)

“The hunts are designed to make people see things in a new way,” said Watson, referring to some favorites, including the “Milo of Croton” canvas in the National Gallery which “amuses him.” “That can include things you are hunting for as well as aspects of the people on your team,” in this case, your date.

“It’s not a race… it’s just supposed to be fun.”  Fun… and a little bit frisky.
