Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Rock/blues/boogie group ZZ Top is bringing the band’s signature facial hair and hits that have sold 25 million records since 1969 to the Filene Center for a debut show. Still composed of its original members, ZZ Top is made up of blues guitarist Billy Gibbons, bassist and fierce singer Dusty Hill, and roots/progressive drummer Frank Beard. The band has released 15 studio albums, including 1973’s Tres Hombres, which featured the smash hit “La Grange” and helped them to gain momentum in the music world. Their hits include “Gimmie All Your Lovin’” and “Legs.” In 2004 ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Their most recent release, La Futura (2012), features their classic blues sound mixed with new influences.
