Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. SUPERFIERCE Opening Salon Party to Kick Off Month-Long Exhibit and Activation Empowering Female Artists

Summary:

Join SUPERFIERCE as they host an Opening Exhibition Salon Party as the official kickoff to the 2017 SUPERFIERCE month-long art exhibit on October 5th at the Blind Whino.  SUPERFIERCE—an organization aimed at creating a foundation of support, connectivity and resources to empower female artists will feature more than 30 nationally and locally known female artists, photographers and sculptors. Artists include Anne Marchand, Ashley Longshore, Caitlyn Price, Dominique Fierro, Julie Wolfe, Kennedy Yanko, Lana Gomez, Maggie O’Neill, Maryanne Pollock, and more. The ticketed event will feature a VIP Collectors Artist Reception in which guests will hear from an expert panel on the importance of equal representation of female artists throughout the industry and how forming a reliable network will accelerate female artists’ careers allowing them to give back and pay it forward.
