Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Join the Maryland Distillers Guild (MDG), St. Mary’s County Tourism, and St. Mary’s County Chamber of Commerce for an afternoon of Southern Maryland heritage and innovation. The inaugural “Spirits of Maryland: Southern Maryland” will take place onSaturday, February 11, 2017 from 3-6 pm at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum (22156 Three Notch Rd. Lexington Park, MD 20653). Sample Maryland Spirits, such as rum, gin, vodka, rye and others, amidst a grand collection of historic Naval aircrafts. A “General Admission” pass is $45 ($50 at the door) and includes samples from attending distilleries and a signature MDG glass.
