Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. True tales about the pleasures and perils of romance at SpeakeayDC’s  Sucker for Love Valentine’s Day Special at Dance Place Feb 14, 15 & 16, 2013

 

Whether you’re with your sweetie or single, SpeakeasyDC’s 6th annual Sucker for Love storytelling show is a unique and unforgettable way to spend Valentine’s Day — listening to heartfelt and hilarious true stories about loves found, lost, and imagined.  As always, SpeakeasyDC promises storytelling at its best with a cast of new and veteran storytellers, including Dan Coyle telling about what it’s like to date after thirty years of marriage; Mikael Johnson shedding light on what to do when your new girlfriend has a teenage daughter; and Cindy and Mike Kane sharing two vastly different perspectives on the same courtship. The show also featuring, Elizabeth McCain, Elissa Laura, Mike Baireuther, and Callie Wright, with host and director Stephanie Garibaldi.
