Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. What: Join Co-Hosts Barry Dixon and Will Thomas for Room to Rebloom’s Third Annual Rebloom on the Roof Cocktail Fundraiser. Help celebrate the power of design to change lives for survivors of domestic violence. Cocktails from DC magazine and lite fare from Casa Luca by renowned DC Chef Fabio Trabocchi. Ticket purchases plus Capital Artist Collective Live Auction and Pop-Up Show and a percentage of sales in April and May will benefit Room to Rebloom. The nonprofit’s mission is to empower women and families in the National Capital Area who have been victims of domestic violence by providing them with design services and other resources needed to create beautiful home environments and rebuild their lives.
