GETTING TO ROCK-N-ROAR

Due to construction, the Zoo’s North Road is narrowed to a single lane of traffic through the Zoo. We encourage you to use public transportation. Take the Red Line to the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan stop or the Cleveland Park stop. The Zoo entrance lies halfway between these stops, and both are a short walk from the Zoo.

PARKING

Parking will be available for pre-pay at the event site. Please enter through the Connecticut Avenue entrance and enter the bus lot (behind Panda Plaza) to pre-pay for parking before the event. We expect this event to sell out. Parking will be available on a first come, first served basis. We cannot guarantee parking. Parking will be $10 for members, $15 non-members.

O.A.R.

There are concerts – then there are concert experiences. Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to see an acoustic performance by Marc Roberge and Richard On of O.A.R. Surrounded by the lush beauty of the National Zoo, on the expansive Lion/Tiger Hill, this is going to be one unforgettable night.

O.A.R has released seven studio albums and five live CDs. To date, they’ve sold close to 2 million albums and over 2 million concert tickets, including three sold-out shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. In 2011, the band released their most recent studio album, King, which debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200 chart and #3 on the Billboard Digital Album Chart, and was #3 at iTunes on the day of the release. King was the follow-up to the band’s 2008 release, All Sides, which contains the Platinum hit radio single “Shattered.”

OPENING ACT

Taylor Carson’s fifth studio album in 8 years, With Innocence, captures the sense of wonder and hope we all knew as children. It is infused with the optimism of dreams into everyday challenges and finds, with insightful observation about the good in the world around us. This summer soundtrack cleans the muddied lens and inspires the hibernating to awake and greet a new day. With Innocence debuted at #6 on the iTunes album charts and is the work that Taylor is most proud of to date.
