Wednesday, September 4, Ripple’s Executive Chef Marjorie Meek-Bradley will host a dinner to benefit the American Cancer Society as part of her participation in DC’s Fit for Hope. For this memorable dinner, guests will have the opportunity to speak directly to the source as Chef will have local farmers she works with on a daily basis in attendance to inform and answer questions.

Using fresh, local ingredients, Meek-Bradley has prepared a health-conscious four-course menu to help reach her fundraising goal for Fit for Hope. Fit for Hope is a 12-week fitness and weight loss competition, where first rate district chefs compete against one another to support the fight against cancer.

Meek-Bradley plans to kick off dinner at 7pm with an amuse bouche of Rappahannock oyster, followed by the first course, a summer vegetable salad with hummus, marinated fennel, sweet and sour eggplant, radish, squash and dill granite. Known for her ability to make pasta just right, Chef will serve Cherry Glen Farms goat cheese ravioliwith melted heirloom tomatoes and basil, followed by poached tilefish with leeks, potatoes, Autumn Olive Farms bacon and celery. For dessert, guests will have a satisfyingly sweet, peach dessert.

The farm dinner will take place at 7pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. Cost to attend the event is $75, with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. For more information and to register, contact Kelsey Duke atkelsey@lindarothpr.com or 703-417-2702.
