Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC will take to the streets for the third consecutive year to sponsor its Fantastic March III, a 5K charity fundraising event on Sunday, September 8, 2013. The funds raised by Mandarin Oriental colleagues and our community will be donated in support of the ♥ Heart of America BuddyPack program for students at W.B. Patterson Elementary School, located at 4399 South Capitol Terrace, in Southwest DC.

The Fantastic March III will begin at 9am at Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC and wind around the National Mall before returning to the hotel for a celebratory BBQ at approximately at 11am. The charitable contribution and registration fee to participate in the walk is USD 40 per person, and includes:

Continental breakfast
Morning pre-walk stretching
Event t-shirt
Community BBQ at the conclusion of the event
