Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Join for an eco-conscious Happy Hour featuring Alexandria’s own Port City Brewing on Friday, April 22nd from 5-7pm. We will be pouring their Downright Pilsner and Beach Drive Golden Ale, along with their special-release Rivershed Pale Ale, which they brew in homage to the Chesapeake Bay and the surrounding rivers here in the DMV. Flights of these three beers will be available for $10, in addition to full-size beers and an option to take home cans of the Rivershed Ale. Each purchase of the Rivershed Ale will get you entrance into a raffle featuring swag from Port City Brewing and Potomac Riverkeeper Network.
