The Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation will host its annual Blue Hope Bash to raise colon cancer awareness on Thursday, October 17, from 6:00-10:30PM at the Four Seasons Hotel, in Washington, D.C. An evening of hope, inspiration and celebration will feature live entertainment, speeches from Members of Congress, dinner, signature cocktails, silent auction, local business leaders, celebrities and inspirational stories from colon cancer survivors. Chris4Life is pleased to have ABC7/WJLA reporter Jennifer Donelan return for the third year to emcee the event.

Honorary Co-Chairs and special guest that will be in attendance include Congressman Henry Waxman (D-CA), Lisa Ling (the host of the Oprah Winfrey Network show Our America) and her husband/ oncologist Dr. Paul Song, Dr. John Marshall, (Chief of Hematology/Oncology at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center), Dr. Louis Weiner, (Director of Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center), Michael Jakaitis (Morning Drive Editor, WTOP News), and Michelle Money (ABC’s The Bachelor Pad). The evening will include a post dinner musical performance by popular blues artist Ted Garber. Funds raised from the event will support Patient, Treatment and Care programs, cutting edge research, and general colorectal marketing awareness campaigns.

During the bash, three awards will be presented to deserving individuals who have gone above and beyond in their support of the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation – the Christine Sapienza Memorial Award, the Elika Hemphill Memorial Award and the Ambassador of Hope Memorial Award.
