The Capital Pride Alliance (CPA) is excited to announce the inaugural Fuchsia Ball: A Pride 365 Fund Benefit, generously hosted by Echostage on Saturday, November 12th. This event will be an unforgettable evening of entertainment and dancing as DC’s LGBTQ+ community celebrates a memorable year and collectively supports the Pride 365 Fund. The evening will begin with a VIP reception at 8:00 pm honoring Capital Pride’s volunteers, partners, advocates, donors, and valuable team members. Doors will open to the general public at 9:30 pm and guests will enjoy a night of performances by International Drag Superstar Shea Couleé, DJ Joe Gauthreaux, DJ Tracy Young, DJ Eletrox, International Ballroom House of Garcon, Bang, and hosted by the National Bearded Empress, Vagenesis.
“The Pride 365 Fund invests in non-profit organizations that demonstrate a commitment to the LGBTQ+ community 365 days a year,” said Capital Pride Alliance Board President, Ashley Smith. “Together, we can uplift local charities and initiatives that positively impact the lives of our community members regionally and nationally,” continued Smith.
“Why Fuchsia? Our official Pride 365 Fund color, fuchsia, represents the bold, vibrant, and brave members of our intersectional, LGBTQ+ community,” stated Capital Pride Alliance Executive Director, Ryan Bos. “While there is no formal dress code, guests are encouraged to incorporate fuchsia tones in their attire or come as they are,” explained Bos.
The Fuchsia Ball is supported by Amazon, Cortland, Georgetown Cupcake, Glow Event Rentals, Extraordinary Entertainment, MGM National Harbor, M&T Bank, Nando’s, ViiV Healthcare, Sam Adam’s Love Conquers Ale, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and Truly.
