Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Join the Atlas Brew Works team as they celebrate eight years at the Ivy City Brewery & Tap Room location (2052 West Virginia Ave NE) on Saturday, October 16, with plenty of games, live DJ, and local food offerings. Guests are required to show proof of COVID vaccination or negative test within 72 hours to attend.

From 1pm to 5pm, enjoy music from a live DJ, activities like throwing pies at Atlas team members, and offerings from the award-winning Andy’s Pizza and JarabeDC beer float pairings with Atlas’ 202, Mayor for Life, Silent Neighbor and Blood Orange Gose. Event tickets are available on Eventbrite for $15, which gets guests their first beer plus a donation to Living Classrooms.

Atlas Brew Works is excited to release its special eighth anniversary beer at the party, Mayor for Life. The beer has a noticeable puckering sourness balanced with a tart, earthy sweetness. Starting with a blend of three different barrel-aged beers, the team added 400lbs of marionberries, giving the beer it’s fuchsia color and distinct blackberry sweetness. To make up for the lost year of 2020, the Atlas team will also unveil its limited edition seventh anniversary DIPA, available on draft while supplies last. During the party, guests can also enjoy kegs of Batch 500 and Dave Trippelle, Atlas’ fifth and sixth anniversary beers.
