Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Start making those travel arrangements – we have all the specifics for the 2007 Miss America pageant and it’s going to be too HOT to miss!

Please come to cheer for me at the Aladdin Resort and Casino, soon to be renovated into the the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada for preliminary competitions starting January 25th. The final night of competition will be airing LIVE on CMT on Monday, January 29th, at 8:00 PM ET/PT. Tickets will be made available for both preliminarie competitions and the final night on www.ticketmaster.com.

Last month, CMT announced an expanded programming strategy to support the 2007 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT, which includes some nine hours of television devoted to Miss America . This programming features a two-hour contestant special, which will air on CMT and its sister networks, VH1, MTV and Logo; a one-hour special on Miss America 2006, Jennifer Berry; a one-hour look at GREATEST MISS AMERICA MOMENTS; and Miss America features on the popular CMT TOP 20 COUNTDOWN and CMT INSIDER. Additional programming will be available exclusively on the CMT LOADED, VOD, CMT.com, CMT Radio and CMT Mobile.
