Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Crystal City Wine Walk

Lace up your sneakers and cleanse your palette, it’s time to start training for the Crystal City 1K Wine Walk! This awesome – and alcoholic – activity is taking sipping to the streets the weekend of February 26-27th.


Presented by the Crystal City Business Improvement District in partnership with the Washington Wine Academy, this Wine Walk tasting tour promises “racers” the opportunity to enjoy and learn about between 30-40 wines as they make their way through the shops and interior walkways of Crystal City.


Choose from half-hourly “heats” (between 2 and 5 PM) to strut and sip through a series of hydration stations staffed by Washington Wine Academy experts.
