Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Actor David Hyde Pierce Hosts Annual Alzheimer’s Gala

Actor David Hyde Pierce hosted the 8th annual Alzheimer’s Association Gala Wednesday night at the National Building Museum.  A staunch supporter of the cause who has returned multiple times for the annual benefit, Pierce lends his name and fame to help the as many as 3.5 million people living with Alzheimer’s.  


He originally became involved for personal reasons.  The disease claimed his grandfather, and his father likely suffered from it as well.


Others joining Pierce, Alzheimer’s Association CEO Harry Johns and Gala co-Chairs George and Trish Vrandenburg included Senators Susan Collins, Debbie Stabenow and Johnny Isakson.
