A Strathmore Snack: You Are What You Eat

Nine artists whose work speaks to body image and the cultural significance of food are on view now at the Strathmore Mansion.

Paintings, sculptures, photography and multimedia exhibitions show audiences You Are What You Eat,” including paintings of some of DC’s famous neighborhood eateries, still lives with a junk food focus, and the highly popular Trash Mirror #3 (see bitformsnyc’s video below) which is made up of hundreds of pieces of refuse found on the streets of NYC and moves in response to audience motion.

Talk about an edible arrangement.
