WOW That New Mole de Pollo on the Dia de Los Muertos Menu at MXDC

Dia de Los Muertos at MXDC Cocina Mexicana

There will be plenty of places in DC to celebrate Dia de los Muertos, one of the most important holidays in Mexican culture, but one of our favorites is Todd English’s MXDC Cocina Mexicana, where the celebrity chef invites guests to take part in the great cultural tradition with signature dishes, libations, and even sugar-skull face painting.

On October 31 through November 2, 2019, special items will be added to the restaurant’s á la carte menu, including the Ponzole (pork stew with radish, lettuce, avocado and hominy); MXDC Empanadas (Chicken with tomato, queso mix, onions and jalapeño or Veggie with zucchini, tomato, eggplant and queso mix, topped with guacamole, guajillo chile sauce, sour cream, lettuce and queso fresco); and — our favorite — the Mole de Pollo (a special family recipe of braised chicken with chocolate mole, yellow rice, refried black beans and sesame seeds).

Food, Libation and Festivities are available for the whole family

For the perfect pairing, MXDC is discounting a variety of house and flavored margaritas and offering popular mezcal cocktails.

And while the holiday is about food, but also family, MXDC brings the fun for your together-time with face painting and a photo booth to enliven the festivities on Thursday, October 31 and Friday, November 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.
