Rose Gold and Flamingos at New The Fairmont Courtyard
Can you say PAR-TAY?
The Fairmont Hotel kicked off Memorial Day weekend in style, with a soiree in its newly renovated courtyard. No more are the days of circling around a big fountain or dodging planters, the courtyard is now a huge open space perfect for large parties, or even – dare I say – my future wedding.
Last Wednesday, guests were invited to mingle in the new space with a glamorous intro scene. The space was adorned with pink flamingos and rose gold bars throughout. An electronic violinist played live, while bubbles filled the air, and a professional hula-hooper and juggler practiced their skills with plenty of room to show off.
There was a fantastic DJ, and guests had champagne, aperol spritzers, and an endless supply of tasty hors d’oeuvres — like open faced salmon and bites with mandarin oranges, spicy gazpacho shots, and cheeseburger sliders.
Even accessories were on parade. A prize for best sunglasses went to Doreen Barlow Tisone, editor of Engaged! Magazine, who showed off her snapchat glasses in style. The pictures say it all!
