Hillwood Executive Director Kate Markert and Co-Chairs Michela Gorham, NicoleKnox, Elizabeth Odom, and Mark Lowham hosted the historic property and institution’s black-tie gala, Jewels of the Ocean, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.
Funds raised from the annual event support Hillwood’s mission to share the cultural treasure that Marjorie Merriweather Post left for the public’s enjoyment.
The evening began with cocktails and followed through to dinner on the Lunar Lawn, and invited guests to be the first to tour the special exhibition Fragile Beauty: Art of the Ocean, with objects of rare and precious materials that highlight the beauty and resources of the oceans.
