Ivy Room Opens in the Republic Restoratives Distillery

In case you didn’t know that DC has an Ivy City neighborhood – that’s now where you can find brand-new tasting room and bar Ivy Room.

Earlier this week, Congresswoman and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Congresswoman Gabby Giffords and husband Captain Mark Kelly, Congressman Ami Bera and former DC mayor Adrian Fenty were among the VIPs who joined hospitality entrepreneur and lobbyist Vinoda Basnayake and Republic Restoratives Distillery co-owners Rachel Gardner and politico Pia Carusone (Giffords’ former Chief of Staff) for their friends & family launch of the venue.

Nestled within the Republic Restoratives Distillery on New York Avenue, guests at the Ivy Room preview party enjoyed Civic Vodka cocktails and passed bites from Union Kitchen as they checked out NYC-based MAPOS’ architecture and design.

Ivy Room features a menu of premium classic cocktails, including the Moscow Mule, created with the bar’s own in-house ginger beer, a vodka tonic using a house made tonic, a classic martini, the Bitter Lemon and Ivy Room’s signature Ivy City Swizzle, made with fresh mint.

HOURS OF OPERATION:
Thursday + Friday: 5pm to 11pm
Saturday:Noon to 11pm
Sunday: Noon to 5pm
