Flor. Coffee + Books Brings a Taste of Buenos Aires to Georgetown
There’s a new café blooming in Georgetown. One that invites you to linger a little longer, sip a little slower, and perhaps rediscover your sense of wonder along the way.
Flor. Coffee + Books, a Buenos Aires-inspired café and bookshop, officially opens its doors on Monday, August 18, at 1220 31st Street NW, just a stone’s throw from the bustle of M Street. The concept is the brainchild of international author and wellness guide Florencia “Flor” Agrazo, and her partner, Marco Ferrario. More than just a café, Flor. is a soulful sanctuary for book lovers, journalers, creatives, and coffee aficionados alike.

“I’ve always dreamed of creating a space where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and nourish both body and soul,” says Agrazo, author of The Gratitude Notebook, a popular series of journaling guides. “Flor. is the physical extension of my writing—a place for reflection, creativity, and community.”
From the first sip of their signature Flower Power blend — custom roasted by Georgetown favorite Grace Street Coffee Roasters — to the last bite of a flaky Argentinian empanada or buttery medialuna, Flor. is a literary café with Latin flair that pays homage to both Agrazo’s Argentinian roots and the European-style cafés of Buenos Aires.
But what truly sets Flor. apart is its holistic approach to well-being. Spread across two stories and an outdoor patio with seating for 28, the space is designed with intention. Soft light, warm woods, cozy corners, and communal tables invite conversation or quiet introspection.

The curated book selection spans English and Spanish titles in categories like self-care, art, travel, and spirituality, along with a delightful array of Tarot decks, interactive games, and the ever-popular blind date with a book picks.
A standout feature? The whimsical Appreciation Station, a custom-designed “gratitude machine” that dispenses daily prompts to encourage intention-setting and mindful journaling… a playful nod to Agrazo’s writing roots.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 22, when Flor. hosts its Grand Opening celebration from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The first 100 guests will be treated to free hot or iced coffee, a delicate financier pastry, a $5 gift card for future visits, and 10% off all food and drink purchases. A Tarot reader will be on-site throughout the day, offering mini readings, an experiential touch that mirrors the café’s spirit of self-discovery.
