Nationals’ Pups in the Park
The ‘dog days of summer’ have a whole new meaning on Tuesday, Aug. 25, when the Washington Nationals host the Colorado Rockies.
In addition to opening its doggy doors for Pups in the Park, Nationals Park celebrates Team Dog Natty’s six-month birthday party, and all fans – human and canine – are invited to get in on the fun.
From gates open through the end of the eighth inning, fans can bring their pets to the Eukanuba Fuel Extraordinary Combine where they can participate in Nationals-inspired activities and take home prizes. Plus, Eukanuba will be handing out bags of food for puppies and adult dogs as well as other fun branded items, plus a sweepstakes for a one-year supply of dog food.
Located behind Section 143 in the Right Field Plaza, the Eukanuba Fuel Extraordinary Combine includes:
- Home Plate Hustle – A third base-to-home plate dog toy run
- Coaches Call – A showcase of obedience on the pitcher’s mound
- Game-Winning Catch – A vertical leap fetching challenge
Pet parents can access a custom scouting report with each pawticipant’s stats to see how they measure up to one another and to Natty, and Eukanuba experts will be on hand to provide real-time feedback.
Following an evening full of baseball, special activities, birthday celebrations and a $5 Tuesday menu that makes it easy for fans to treat themselves and their best friends, dogs and their humans are invited to take a walk around the warning track and join Natty for a special postgame pups parade.
Proceeds from all dog tickets benefit the Humane Rescue Alliance. All pups in attendance will receive a special bandana courtesy of PEDIGREE Foundation as well as a rally towel from Eukanuba.
Pups in the Park tickets are available at Nationals.com/Pups. All tickets can be purchased at Nationals.com/Tickets.
