From the same owners as Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken, 1969 is now open.

Located in the basement of Astro Beer Hall in the Village at Shirlington, the vintage-themed bar is a throwback to 1969 celebrating milestones and events from that memorable year.

You weren’t alive in 1969? Don’t worry — you’ll still love this nod to the sixties with themed mementos and decor. Phone a friend with a decades-old phonebooth complete with a traditional dial payphone; deliver a message to the ‘analog blog,’ a physical poster board behind the bar, using a vintage IBM Selectric typewriter. 1969 will also feature classic bar games including five 8’ tournament pool tables, two shuffleboards, and four dartboards.

The recently renovated underground space has a 50-seat bar with 12 tap lines, classic diner booths, and walls adorned with custom art and murals from Billy Colbert.
