Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Game

DC “celebs” tested their prowess against the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team Sunday, September 4th, at Nationals Ballpark. A valiant effort by local news personalities, restaurant notables and pageant winners, the DC team was still defeated (15-4) by the veteran and active duty military members who managed to be more than able… with their prosthetic limbs.

Some highlights of the game included a home run by Fox 5 Meteorologist Tucker Barnes, a theatrical outfield catch by Washington Post columnist and show host Mike Wise, every. single. play. by the Wounded Warrior team… and Pat Sajak‘s jersey: S_J_K (genius!).
