Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Pink Boxes on the Boob Tube

Cupcake lovers, set your Tivos. One year after sisters Sophie and Katherine opened the doors to a quaint, storefront cupcake shop in Georgetown, Georgetown Cupcake is going Hollywood.

Local blogs are abuzz with news that Silver Spring-based TLC has signed the entrepreneurs on for a new reality show. Their publicist is giving the “no comment line” but the sisters have looser lips, reportedly gabbing about the show around town.

Hopefully the fourth time will be a charm to make a D.C.-based reality show a hit: the 2008 Washington Post “Cupcake Wars” champions have plenty of media experience and new, spacious digs on M Street to accommodate all those cameras.

One question remains, how will those pink carryout boxes look in HD?
