Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

MediaBistro @ the Bar…

At Wednesday night’s MediaBistro cocktail party, held at Skye Lounge… this once-upon-a-time little cocktail party has turned into a massive crowd of media and PR-types. One of the best parts of the night is accidentally running into one of your favorite bloggers – or finally getting to put a face to the name of that guy who’s always pitching you hot new restaurants, etc.

And the best news of the night for us? K Street Kate won the raffle and wins a free entry to MediaBistro Circus, where hundreds of top-level media professionals will come together for two exciting days of education and inspiration in media (and new media). We’ll post all the news we can to make you feel as though you were there with us! Thanks to Joel Greenberg and Dan (above) who were my good luck charms on that one!
