Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. WHAT: To commemorate International Women’s Day, D.C.’s favorite handcrafted hoagie shop Taylor Gourmet is hosting a hospitality panel at its headquarters on March 7, headlined by some of the region’s most influential women in food. The Wing DC General Manager Shana Steele will moderate a passionate discussion covering the quality of D.C.’s hospitality talent pool, achieving gender parity, combating harassment and other relevant issues impacting the local culinary workforce. Featured panelists include:
