Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Following its sold-out premiere at the Phillips Collection, please join Picnic Theatre Company on Wednesday June 17, Thursday June 18, Friday June 19 for a summer garden party performance of Joseph Kesselring’s Arsenic and Old Lace!  Theatregoers are invited to bring blankets for outdoor seating in the garden.  Enjoy music, wine, and a one-act one hour performance of the smash hit 1940s madcap dark comedy brought from Broadway to the silver screen by Frank Capra starring Cary Grant.  Inside the Brewster Mansion, villains, lunatics, and sweet little old ladies form the ultimate dysfunctional family.

Proceeds benefit the preservation of Dumbarton House, one of Georgetown’s finest examples of Federal period architecture, and Courage for Kids GIVE BACK-pack initiative providing backpacks filled with school supplies to homeless and at-risk children graduating from Pre-K programs in the Greater Washington, DC area.
