Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. You’ll catch her interviewing guests on DC’s NewChannel8′s Let’s Talk Live and showcasing products on BestBuy.com, as well as work appearing on NBC, Fox, Comcast and local print publications.

PeacePlayers March Madness Party for Peace kicks off on March 20th at 6pm, and you’re invited to take part in the festivities. Enjoy the first round of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament with friends and colleagues all while supporting PeacePlayers International and our mission to use basketball to create peace around the world. Tickets to attend are $75 to attend.

Capitale (1301 K Street Northwest) is our meeting spot for a night of fun and excitement. Guests will be treated to a full open bar, appetizers from Hill Country BBQ, a special NCAA square competition, and a chance to win awesome prizes in our silent auction. Come one, come all, bring a guest, and hang loose. This is going to be epic!
