On Thursday, June 20, 2013 N Street Village, the award-winning social services agency that provides shelter and support to homeless and low-income women in the Washington, DC metro area, is hosting its Seventh Annual Luncheon with featured speaker Lavern J. Chatman, Northern Virginia Urban League (NOVAUL) President and CEO until 2011.

N Street Village will present the N Street Village “Community Ally Award” to Earl and Amanda Stafford of the Stafford Foundation.  Earl and Amanda are Fairfax County philanthropists and creators of the People’s Inaugural Ball, which was held in 2009 to celebrate President Obama’s inauguration.  The award recognizes significant achievement by a local group or organization in advancing N Street Village’s shared advocacy goals and addressing the needs of persons experiencing homelessness.  This is the third year N Street Village has given this award.

About 200 people are expected to attend the luncheon.  Supporters of N Street Village choose to donate their time and resources because they believe in the valuable work of the organization.
