Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Join Studio E Partners and The Fairfax at Embassy Row Hotel as they welcome digital fine artist Andrew Faulkner for a complimentary “Meet the Artist” reception on Thursday, April 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Formally trained as a painter, Faulkner often creates landscapes with oil paint on canvas. However, his artistic process differs from most as he incorporates digital design software like Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suites programs to begin many of his fine art projects. While his process starts on a computer screen, it often ends with traditional mediums like pastel. Faulkner currently resides in San Francisco, where many of his artistic inspirations occur, with his wife and children.
