Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. Her media portfolio includes a spread in Elle magazine and features on Inside Edition and BBC World News’ “The Real Cities” series. Experience the soulful sounds of yesteryear as LADIES IN THE DAY light up District Wharf this holiday season with a mix of classy, sassy renditions of jazz and blues classics in a special evening that celebrates the legacy and soul of trailblazing black songstresses Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, and others, plus a few surprises, on December 27, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) at UNION STAGE, located at 740 Water St SW.
