DMV DOES BEER:
A Celebration of Breweries From
The District, Maryland & Virginia

Monday, August 12, 6-10pm

1517 Connecticut Avenue NW • In the Bar
Washington DC 20036

Representatives from DC Brau, Evolution Craft Brewing, Lost Rhino Brewing, and Hop & Wine Beverage will join us to answer questions about our featured brews. We will be serving individual 7-oz. tasting pours ($4 each) and four themed flights. Each flight is a group of three 7-oz. pours ($10) with two flights featuring a selection from each of the DMV breweries.

Featured Beers ($4 per 7-oz. taste):

DC Brau Brewing Company (DC):

The Tradition: A special-release golden ale brewed in collaboration with DC United, this selection is a low ABV, low-hopped ale, perfect for a summer session or tailgate outside RFK Stadium.

Heurich’s Lager: A collaboration between DC Brau, the Heurich House Museum, and DC Homebrewers, this special release is a historical recreation of Christian Heurich Brewing Company’s pre-prohibition classic American Pilsner.

Evolution Craft Brewing Company (MD):

Lot #3 India Pale Ale: This American style IPA is aggressively hopped at a rate of over 2 lbs. per barrel. Big notes of citrus and pine compliment a reserved, but firm malt backbone.

Lot #6 Double IPA: Think of this as Lot #3 on performance-enhancing malt and hops. At 9.3% ABV, this beer is loaded with tropical fruit and citrus notes. It is deep gold in color with assertive bitterness, and a big hop flavor and aroma.

Lost Rhino Brewing Company (VA):

Face Plant India Pale Ale: This American style IPA is dominated by the flavor of whole cone Cascade and Centennial Hops. Unfiltered and amber in color, this ale has a penetrating herbal mouth feel and pleasing floral nose backed by Pale, Vienna, and Crystal malts.

It’s Not My Falt Altbier: This limited release is a German-style brown ale with a chocolate sweetness and spicy finish. Don’t let the murky pour fool you, this is one delicious offering!
