One in five children in this country struggles with hunger, including more than 31,000 kids in Washington, DC. The good news is that this is a solvable program. The No Kid Hungry campaign is ending childhood hunger in this nation by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need, every day by connecting them to nutrition programs like school breakfast and summer meals and by teaching families how to cook healthy, affordable meals at home.

The Fuse Pilates event is a fun, fitness-filled precursor to this year’s premier local culinary event, Taste of the Nation Washington, DC, which will be held Monday, March 31, at the National Building Museum. Showcasing more than 60 of the area’s best restaurants, wine bars and mixologists, 100 percent of ticket proceeds will support the No Kid Hungry campaign. Taste of the Nation Washington, DC is supported by National Presenting Sponsor Sysco and National Sponsors American Express and Food Network.

In 2013, Taste of the Nation Washington, DC raised over $185,000 to help fight childhood hunger throughout the country and right here in the nation’s capital.  Local beneficiaries included Capital Area Food Bank, DC Hunger Solutions and Mary’s Center.  To purchase tickets for Taste of the Nation Washington, DC, visit NoKidHungry.org/WashingtonDC.
