Kate Michael, @kstreetkate, is a Writer/Model/On-Camera Host and Event Emcee. Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. “F*ck Cancer! Benefit for Tara Papanicolas” showcases many of DC’s hottest DJ’s, who are banding together to help one young woman fight a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

When & Where: Wednesday, May 21st 2014 from 7:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. at Flash nightclub, located at 645 Florida Avenue NW, DC 20001.

What:  An event featuring DJ’s, dancing, and a series of high end raffle giveaways. DC area musicians, artists, and businesses are coming together to support a friend in serious need.  Eric Hilton, Farid, Sam “The Man” Burns, John Thornley, Spinser Tracy, DINO, Harry Hotter, and Jahsonic are the DJ’s slated to spin while the crowd dances on multiple levels. Dozens of high end raffle items have been donated by:  Gibson, Heist, Current, Olazzo, Cava, MOOV, Kushi, DC Mobile Hair, Lettie Gooch, Megan Rains, Mishi, Ivy & Coney, Chef Tony’s, and many more. Complementary sushi care of Kushi will be given to those who arrive at the beginning of the evening.
