Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). Currently, Kate works as a professional spokesperson and model, walking the runway for such industry icons as Valentino, Derek Lam, Naeem Kahn and Oscar de la Renta. “Derby” Bourbon Dinner
A Taste of Kentucky’s Finest in Downtown DC 

What                    A five course dinner celebrating the best of Kentucky just in time for the Derby.  The patio meal will pair select bourbons with Executive Chef Rob Klink’s inspired cuisine like jumbo shrimp wrapped in sugar-cured bacon, mesquite smoked pork loin with Byrd Mill stone ground grits and double chocolate chip cookies stuffed with butter pecan ice cream.  Each course will showcase some of Kentucky’s best bourbons to include Knob Creek, Makers Mark, Bookers, Old Grand Dad, and more.  Guests may embrace derby fashions for the evening; hats and seersucker are encouraged.  Guests will receive a keepsake authentic julep glass with a classic mint julep recipe
