Notable as the Founder and current Editor-At-Large of K Street Magazine, Kate started the site while serving as Miss District of Columbia 2006 and competing in Miss America (2007). On Tuesday, June 7, the historic Howard Theatre (620 T Street NW), in partnership with MAJIC 102.3 FM and WKYS 93.9 FM, will host a special screening of Purple Rain to celebrate the birthday of late music icon Prince.
Doors for the Brew + View birthday party will open at 6 p.m. and the movie will begin at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and tickets are available at the Howard Theatre box office or at HowardTheatre.com on a first-come-first-served basis.
