The 7th Annual Columbia Heights Day will take place on Saturday, October 5 from 10 am to 6 pm at Harriet Tubman Elementary Field. More than 10,000 people are expected for this community festival featuring live music, food trucks and dozens of local businesses and nonprofits. There is also a KidsZone activity area for families with a petting zoo, games, arts and crafts and special performances.

This year, Columbia Heights Day also welcomes the 11th Street Business Alliance as a partner. This newly formed group is designed to help promote and grow local businesses along 11th Street in Columbia Heights, an area the New York Times dubbed Washington’s “hip strip.”

“Columbia Heights Day is the perfect opportunity to introduce the neighborhood to the new the 11th Street Business Alliance. The festival is always an exciting day for local establishments, and one that we are now looking to sustain year round,” said Chris Seek, President/CEO of Solimar International.
